Responsibilities

  • Lead mobilisation and delivery of major investment projects from planning to completion.
  • Represent Vico Homes with contractors, consultants and stakeholders to deliver high-quality improvements.
  • Oversee project performance, budgets and risk, ensuring safety, timeliness and value for money.
  • Build relationships across the business and supply chain, coordinating information and managing contracts.
  • Drive continuous improvement for the Capital Investment Programme.

About the role

As the Senior Project Officer your manager will be our Energy Project Manager. You will work 37 hours a week on a permanent basis, working flexibly in the Vico Homes operating area based at our Head Office in Castleford.

As the Senior Project Officer, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering Vico Homes’s capital investment programme, ensuring capital, retrofit and Sustainability projects are fully prepared for our principal contractor to commence works. Working closely with key stakeholders, you'll coordinate all necessary information and requirements, enabling the successful delivery of projects on time, within budget and to agreed standards of quality and specification, helping to enhance homes and communities across our operating area.

What you’ll do
  • Lead the successful mobilisation and delivery of major investment projects, ensuring everything is in place for contractors to start on site and projects progress smoothly from planning through to completion.
  • Act as Vico Homes’s representative, working closely with contractors, consultants and stakeholders to deliver high-quality improvements that provide excellent value for money and put our customers first.
  • Oversee project performance, budgets and risk, ensuring schemes are delivered safely, on time, within budget and in line with quality, compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Build strong relationships across the business and supply chain, coordinating information, managing contracts and driving collaboration to achieve successful project outcomes.
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation, identifying opportunities to enhance service delivery, improve efficiency and support the long-term success of Vico Homes’s Capital Investment Programme.
What we’re looking for
  • You’ll hold a relevant Level 4 qualification (or equivalent), a valid CSCS card and IOSH Managing Safely certification, with a strong understanding of construction project management, health and safety and the delivery of successful investment programmes.
  • You’ll bring a proven track record of managing projects valued at £2m+, ideally within housing, property services or construction environments, with experience of working collaboratively with contractors and consultants to deliver high-quality outcomes and continuous service improvements.
  • You’ll be a confident decision-maker with excellent stakeholder management skills, able to motivate others, manage competing priorities and deliver results under pressure. You'll share our commitment to quality, value for money and exceptional customer service and hold a full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle, enabling you to travel across the Vico Homes operating area as required.
