A community-focused organization in the UK is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the Spade Oak Lake enhancement project. This pivotal role includes overseeing project delivery, engaging with stakeholders, and managing budgets to ensure successful outcomes. The ideal candidate will have strong project management experience and a commitment to community engagement. Location: Colne Valley Park Visitor Centre, Denham (Hybrid working available)
Contract: Fixed term to 31st March 2028. With potential to extend depending on outcome from the project legacy plan.
Salary: FTE £30,940 - £33,000
Hours: 30 hours per week
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of the Spade Oak Lake enhancement project. Working closely with Groundwork South’s Rivers and Green Teams, external advisors, and contractors, you will oversee the project’s development, implementation, and evaluation.
You will be accountable to a project board of key stakeholders and play a pivotal role in ensuring the project achieves maximum value from the grant funding.
Spade Oak Nature Reserve in Little Marlow is a unique wildlife site owned by Buckinghamshire Council. The reserve features a wet woodland peninsula, a sand spit with restricted access, and a publicly accessible perimeter footpath and open green space.
Funded by Thames Water and managed by Groundwork South, the project aims to enhance the sand spit’s habitat for wildlife, improve site access, develop a conservation management plan, and secure a sustainable legacy for the reserve.
