Senior Project Manager – SAP ECC6 to S/4HANA Migration

My client is looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our team. This is a leadership role where you will oversee large-scale digital transformation programmes, driving governance, stakeholder engagement, and successful delivery.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead client-side delivery of the discovery, business case, and strategy phases of the programme. This role will sit at the heart of our delivery team, ensuring milestones are achieved, risks are managed, and stakeholders across government and partner organisations remain fully engaged.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead programme planning, stage-gates, and reporting across discovery → business case → roadmap phases.
  • Oversee deliverables including readiness assessments, Green Book business case, strategic roadmap and procurement artefacts.
  • Chair workshops and boards with senior stakeholders, managing dependencies across Finance, HR, Procurement, and IT.
  • Drive governance packs, RAID logs, and KPI reporting to ensure transparency and control.
  • Manage a multi-disciplinary client-side team covering SAP functional experts, integration, data, testing, security and change.
  • Act as the primary liaison between programme sponsors, technical teams, and delivery partners.
Required Experience
  • 10+ years’ experience as Project/Programme Manager in ERP or large-scale IT transformations.
  • Proven leadership of SAP ECC6 to S/4HANA migrations (public sector experience highly desirable).
  • Strong knowledge of Green Book five-case methodology, ERP procurement processes, and stage-gate governance.
  • Track record managing complex, multi-stakeholder environments in government or regulated industries.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • SC clearance (or ability to obtain).
