Job summary

Thames Water Utilities Limited is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the Maple Lodge Wastewater Treatment Works Upgrade, a £300m+ project. You will manage the multidisciplinary team, collaborate with our Tier 1 contractor, and shape delivery strategy in an Early Contractor Involvement model to achieve time, cost, and quality goals.

The role offers a rare opportunity to influence design and project outcomes on a high-profile infrastructure programme, within Thames Water's Major Projects

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering, project management, or related discipline.
• Proven experience managing large-scale (£100M+) construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of UK regulations and contracts (e.g. NEC, IChemE).

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of a highly complex, multi-year project on a 24/7 live operational site.
• Build relationships within Thames Water, our delivery partners, and stakeholders.
• Own project governance, contract management, and reporting.
• Collaborate with colleagues and delivery partners to deliver project outcomes in terms of time, cost, and quality.
• Strategically guide the team to anticipate and navigate delivery challenges and issues.
• Champion continuous improvement and mentor and upskill emerging talent.
• Lead with integrity and influence for the project, the wider business, and the sector.
• Proven experience managing large-scale (£100M+) construction projects from inception to handover.
