Job summary

A governmental organization in the UK is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead and deliver projects for operational delivery frameworks. The ideal candidate will have significant project management experience, ability to lead teams, and strong interpersonal skills. This role includes a mix of remote work and travel to meetings. A degree or equivalent qualification is required, along with a track record in managing complex projects.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in project delivery and contract management ideally in engineering, construction and/or asset management.
• A track record for delivering results on large, complex, technically challenging projects or programmes through leadership of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Ability to lead and develop project teams, including colleagues from other departments, bringing strategic thinking which improves processes and team behaviours.
• Commercial and Contract management experience.
• Strong interpersonal and influencing skills as relationship management of both internal and external stakeholders is an important aspect of this role.
• Ability to collate and present information to support effective decision making.
• Ability to manage uncertainty and ambiguity.
• A degree (or equivalent qualification).

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver projects to procure operational delivery frameworks.
• Work collaboratively with Defra Group Commercial colleagues.
• Develop framework products including framework Deed and Schedules, contract templates, guidance documents and training materials.
• Ensure consistency across frameworks and capture lessons learnt.
