Job summary

A leading project management consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead an ERP implementation project in London. The successful candidate will have proven experience in managing distressed technical projects, strong communication skills, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams to deliver results. Experience with Oracle Fusion and UKG Kronos is preferred. This position offers a hybrid work model.

Senior Project Manager (ERP) - Hybrid (Local candidates only)

Sum Theory is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to take immediate leadership of the UKG/Kronos Workforce Management Implementation project.

Project Background:

The goal of this initiative is to transition from UKG Workforce Central (On-Premise) to UKG Workforce Management (Cloud) for time and attendance tracking across more than 7,000 County employees. The project has missed several go‑live dates, and there are ongoing issues with various configurations, integrations, and employee group setups. To move the project forward, we are requesting an external Senior Project Manager, to re-establish structure, accountability, and progress toward a successful go‑live within a reasonable timeline.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Manage internal and external project resources, resolve conflicts, and ensure vendors and stakeholders meet project milestones and deliverables.
  • Documentation Control: Oversee proper documentation of requirements, approvals, and key decisions.
  • Strategic Planning: Reassess and rebase line the existing project plan, clearly define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and critical paths.
  • Risk & Change Management: Identify high risks, develop mitigation strategies, and manage scope or timeline changes effectively.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary liaison with the internal ERP team, Payroll, and the Assistant County Administrator; provide regular status updates, reports, and executive‑level briefings.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience managing distressed or recovery‑phase technical projects with successful turnaround outcomes.
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing cross‑functional teams and external vendors.
  • Strong communication and reporting skills, particularly with executive‑level stakeholders.
  • Skilled at driving decisions, action‑oriented, restoring confidence, and fostering collaboration across departments and the project team.
  • Preferred: Experience with Oracle Fusion and/or UKG Kronos (Workforce Central and Workforce Management Cloud) platforms.
