Job summary

Proactive Global is seeking a Senior Project Manager to take ownership of long-term, high-value engineering programmes in regulated environments. You will drive end-to-end delivery, coordinate across internal teams and suppliers, and manage budgets and risks from day one.

The role requires a degree in engineering, proven PM experience, and strong MS Project/Office skills, with a UK Driving Licence and citizenship for screening. Hybrid working and a stable pipeline offer long-term career growth.

Job description

We're working with a well-established engineering business delivering highly regulated, technically complex projects across critical infrastructure environments.

They're now looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to take ownership of long-term, high-value programmes where delivery, precision and stakeholder coordination are key.

This is a hands-on role with real ownership from day one.

What you'll be doing:

• Leading end-to-end delivery of complex engineering projects
• Managing detailed project plans (including MS Project schedules, milestones and dependencies)
• Coordinating across internal teams, suppliers and external stakeholders
• Managing budgets, risks and overall project performance
• Identifying issues early and driving practical solutions
• Building and developing your own project team

What we're looking for:

• Strong experience delivering projects within an engineering or technical environment
• Background in sectors such as power, utilities, infrastructure, marine or similar
• Confident managing stakeholders at all levels
• Proven ability to manage complex timelines and competing priorities
• Comfortable working in structured, regulated environments

Essentials:

• Degree (or equivalent) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• Proven Project Management experience
• Strong MS Project / MS Office skills
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Must hold British citizenship due to the nature of the work and required pre-employment screening checks (including BPSS)

Desirable:

• PRINCE2, PMP or similar
