Keyresponsibilitiesandaccountabilities

ProjectManagement

• Providetechnicaloversightandinputintoourgrowingimprovedcookstoveprogramme,includingrecommendationsonFPICprocesses,communityinclusionanddMRV.
• Overseeandbeaccountableforthecurrentandfuturedevelopmentofcarbonassets(PDDs,exantecalculationsetc.)undercarbonstandards(VERRA,GoldStandard,PACM)withaprimaryfocusonimprovedcookstoves.
• Accountableforcoordinatingthedeliveryofpredominantlyimprovedcookstoveandsafewaterprojects,providingoversightacrossthefullprojectlifecycleandensuringstandardsofquality,complianceandriskmanagementaremet.
• ManagementresponsibilityforasmallteamofProjectManagersandCarbonProjectOfficers,deliveringstrongleadershiptoensuretheteamareproductiveandachievingpre-agreedtargets.
• Responsiblefortrackingandreportingprojectprogress,takingcorrectiveactionandnotifyingtheProgrammeManagerasrequired.
• Accountableforthestandardisationofprojectdocumentationandcollateral(SOPs)acrossourimprovedcookstoveprogramme,providingsupporttoin-countrydeliverypartners,toensureprojectsaredeliveredontime,inbudgetandtothehigheststandardandintegrityachievable
• Accountableforteamstrategy,planning,reporting,riskmanagementandachievingindividualprojectdeliverables,advisingoncorrectiveactionasrequired.
• Responsibleforaccountmanagementandstakeholderrelationships,leadingonnegotiationsandcontractdiscussions,successfullytroubleshooting,andreportinginaclearandtimelymanner.
• Managecomplexandcompetingpriorities,whilstconfidentlyworkingindependentlyandescalatingrisksappropriately.
• WorkwithotherSeniorProjectManagerstoensurethatprojectactivitiesandreportingprocessesareconsistentacrossthecompanyportfolio.
• Closecollaborationwithcountryoffices,partners,andinternalteams,includingtheProgrammeManagertoensuretimelyreportingtoclientsandthatcarboncreditdeliverytimelinesaremetandvolumesareaccurate.

BudgetaryControl

• WorkwithHeadofFinancetosetannualprojectbudgets,managebudgetaryoversightandcontinuouslyassessprojectspendthroughoutthelifecycle.
• Accountableforthemanagementandreportingonprojectbudgetsandcashflows

ProposalsandNewProjectDevelopment

• Workwithcommercialandsalesteamstodevelopproposals,schedulesandcontractsforexistingandnewconsultancyclients.
• Accountableforguidingteaminthedevelopmentofnewprojectideasandtechnologies,liaisingcloselywiththeProgrammeManagerandSeniorManagementTeam.
• Overseeandleadworkinggroupsonresearchingnewprojecttechnologiesandmethodologies.
• Preparecashflowsandboardpapersforprospectiveprojectsasrequestedbymanagement.

General

• Beaccountablefortheapprovalofallexpenses,holidayentitlement,sickleave,trainingplans,andPersonalDevelopmentReviewsforyourteam.
• Attendprojectsitevisits,relevantevents,andconferencesasrequiredonbehalfofthecompany.

Essential

• Atleast3yearsdemonstrableexperienceofdevelopinganddeliveringcarbonprojectsorcommunity-basedactivityprojects,specificallycookstoveprojectsthatareaccreditedunderacarbonmethodology.
• Technicalknowledgeofcleancooking,WASH,renewableenergyorotherclimatemitigationtechnologies.
• DemonstrableexperienceofdevelopingcarbonassetssuchasPDDs,baselines,ex-antecalcsandVERprofiles.
• DemonstrableexperienceinFPIC,communityengagementandstakeholdermanagementincludinggrievanceprocesses.
• Provenabilitytoleadandmanageteammembers,includingperformancemanagement.
• Provenskillsinbudgeting,financialoversightandcashflowmanagement.
