A well-established multidisciplinary consultancy based in Plymouth is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Project Manager to support their growing portfolio across commercial, healthcare, and public sector projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Project Manager with strong client-facing skills, a background in construction consultancy, and experience delivering projects through the full lifecycle.
As a Senior Project Manager, you’ll join a collaborative team that supports clients from feasibility through to handover, with a strong pipeline of work across education, MoD estates, and infrastructure. The consultancy provides robust support for continued professional development and encourages its Senior Project Managers to lead and mentor junior staff while managing key client accounts.
The Senior Project Manager will lead multiple medium to large-scale construction schemes across the Southwest, ensuring quality delivery and stakeholder satisfaction. You’ll oversee project teams, manage contracts (typically NEC or JCT), and play a key part in programme and budget control.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading projects from inception to completion
Managing contract administration and reporting
Coordinating design and engineering inputs
Overseeing procurement and contractor performance
Providing leadership to assistant and project managers
Degree qualified in Construction, Project Management, or a related field
Chartered or working towards (e.g. MRICS, MAPM, MCIOB)
Proven background in delivering capital projects across sectors
Strong understanding of NEC / JCT contracts
Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
£55,000 – £70,000 per annum
Support towards chartership and CPD
