We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join a growing construction consultancy team in Devon.
The role is ideal for someone with 2+ years' PQE in consultancy project management who is ready to take on greater responsibility, client-facing opportunities, and high-profile projects.

About the Role
- Lead projects end-to-end, from inception to completion.
- Deliver projects across multiple sectors including commercial, residential, education, heritage, and public/private schemes.
- Manage budgets, cost control, and value engineering to ensure profitability and quality.
- Oversee contract administration (NEC, JCT, or other forms) and ensure commercial success.
- Coordinate design, procurement, and construction activities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
- Report progress, challenges, and strategies clearly to leadership and clients.
Responsibilities
- Drive project delivery and performance across multiple projects.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks to prevent impacts on timelines or budgets.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, health & safety, and internal quality benchmarks.
- Lead teams through change while maintaining focus, morale, and alignment with business goals.
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to professional development within the team.
Skills Required
- Minimum 2 years' PQE in consultancy construction project management.
- MCIOB, MRICS, APM qualification, or clear commitment to achieving chartered status.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, design coordination, procurement, and contract administration.
- Knowledge of budgeting, cost control, value engineering, and maximizing profitability while delivering quality.
- Experience with NEC, JCT, or other contract forms.
- Proficient in Asta Powerproject or MS Project advantageous.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Self-motivated and capable of inspiring teams while driving project performance.
