AtkinsRéalis in London and the South East England region is seeking a Senior Project Manager to deliver high-quality project and programme management across the full lifecycle. You will lead multi-disciplinary teams, advise on cost and programme, and drive successful outcomes for complex projects in a collaborative, supportive environment.

This role offers flexible and hybrid working arrangements, with opportunities on defence, aviation, water, highways and rail projects.

Qualifications

• PM qualification with APM, RICS or similar is desired or in progress.
• Delivery experience on construction projects and live environments.
• Experience with pre- and post-contract PM responsibilities.
• Ability to manage a project through its full lifecycle and governance.
• Strong leadership and communication across multiple high-priority projects.

As a Senior Project Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in the region. Bring your collaborative, motivated, detail-oriented approach to our wide variety of complex projects across the region. Your technical competence, lateral thinking, first-class communication skills, and robust commercial awareness will be crucial in delivering better for our clients and communities, and will enable you to thrive in our vibrant, supportive team.

Location: London and South East England

Your role

• Provide high-quality project and programme management standards across the whole project lifecycle.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, resources, and milestones.
• Advise clients on the project cost, programme, risks and issues.
• Lead and manage multi-disciplinary professional teams on various sectors such as defence, aviation, water, highways and rail.
• Lead communications and relationships with clients and their stakeholders.
• Produce monthly reports including project programmes, risk registers etc.
• Implement effective and efficient communication tools.
• Develop delivery plans for projects, involve others and ensure objectives are met.
• Challenge the status quo and perform to a high standard in changing environments.
• Constantly pursue performance improvement.
• Mentor and provide feedback to junior colleagues.
• Conduct project reviews and implement corrective actions.

About you

• Hold or be working towards a Project Management Qualification with APM, RICS or similar.
• Experience in the adoption and management best practice Project Management techniques.
• Delivery experience in construction projects, especially in live operational environments.
• Knowledge of pre and post contract Project Management responsibilities and able to deliver this service effectively to Clients.
• The ability to manage a project throughout its lifecycle.
• Experience in regulated environments and internal and external governance.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple high-priority projects.
