Job description

We're Hiring: Senior Project Manager / Programme Manager - Enterprise Change Office

Location: London

Work Model: Hybrid - 4 days in the office, 1 day working from home

Day Rate: £750 - £800 per day (Inside IR35 / Umbrella)

Contract: 12-month contract (Possibility of extension)

My client, a leading global investment management firm, is seeking two experienced Project / Programme Managers to join their embedded Enterprise Change Office (ECO) team in London.

Unlike a traditional PMO, this embedded, business-facing transformation team acts as a strategic partner to senior business leaders-delivering high-impact, cross-functional initiatives spanning product expansion, regulatory compliance, technology enablement, and operational transformation across European and Asian markets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead medium to large-scale, complex strategic business initiatives end-to-end-from scoping and planning through to execution, transition, and business adoption.
  • Drive delivery across key strategic themes: Product Launches & Life Cycle Changes: Onboarding new investment vehicles and managing fund mergers, liquidations, and guideline updates.
  • Regional Business Growth: Delivering initiatives to expand the firm's solutions business globally and across Asia.
  • Regulatory Change & Compliance: Leading implementation streams for major regulatory shifts (e.g., T+1 settlement, AIFMD II, MiFID III / UCITS revisions, and AI Regulations).
  • Technology & Systems Enablement: Partnering with technical teams on enterprise systems implementations and target operating model upgrades.
  • Establish and facilitate robust governance forums, steering committees, and status reporting to maintain executive stakeholder confidence.
  • Manage project risks, issues, assumptions, and cross-functional dependencies across global locations (London & Asia).
  • Partner closely with Product Development, Investment Operations, Technology, Compliance, and Legal to ensure sustainable change adoption.
Skills & Experience Required:
  • Proven track record working within leading Asset Managers, Investment Management firms, or Capital Markets institutions.
  • Demonstrated experience leading business-facing transformation initiatives rather than purely technical/IT or standard PMO tracking projects.
  • Hands-on experience with product development, product launches, and fund structures across vehicles including UCITS, ETFs, Mutual Funds, CITs, or Private Funds.
  • Strong understanding of key financial regulations (T+1, AIFMD, MiFID/UCITS) and fund governance processes.
  • Exceptional executive communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
  • Hands-on leadership style with comfort navigating both macro programme strategy and micro-level execution detail.
  • Prior experience in tier-1 management consulting or in-house strategy/transformation functions is highly advantageous.
