Job description

A well-established independent project management consultancy is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join their team. The role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of public and private sector projects, spanning all RIBA stages, with exposure to high-profile developments across London and the surrounding areas. Experience with NEC contracts would be highly advantageous.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage projects across all RIBA stages, from inception through to completion, ensuring objectives, timelines, and budgets are met.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams, building strong relationships and facilitating effective communication.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, and cost management strategies, to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Identify potential project risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimise impact on project outcomes.
  • Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and industry best practice.
  • Provide regular project updates to clients and senior management, highlighting progress, challenges, and solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, engineers, and contractors, to ensure cohesive project execution.
Candidate Requirements
  • Proven experience managing public and private sector projects, ideally across all RIBA stages.
  • Experience leading projects through design and construction phases, with a strong understanding of project management best practice.
  • NEC contract experience is desirable but not essential.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to addressing project challenges.
  • Relevant degree in construction management, architecture, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, RICS) are advantageous.
  • Willingness to work on projects based in London and the surrounding areas.
