Job summary

Cognite is hiring a Project Manager to drive complex Industrial AI implementation programs in a fast-paced, global setting. You’ll lead end-to-end delivery, partner with Architects, Engineers, Data Scientists, and Customer Success to achieve measurable business outcomes.

You’ll own scope, schedule, budget, and governance, coordinating multiple workstreams while ensuring customer value and successful adoption. Candidates with strong PMO experience and travel readiness are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
• 5+ years delivering complex software, SaaS, cloud, or enterprise technology implementation projects.
• Experience managing enterprise or industrial digital transformation programmes with multiple stakeholders and workstreams.
• Technical fluency with APIs, integrations, cloud platforms, data architecture, and enterprise systems.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen, including forecasting, revenue recognition, margin management, and project profitability.
• Experience within one or more industrial sectors (Energy, Manufacturing, Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Utilities, Power & Renewables, Life Sciences).
• Experience with Agile delivery methodologies and governance frameworks (Scrum, PMP, PRINCE2).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience using Jira, Confluence, MS Project, Smartsheet.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project delivery from kickoff through deployment, adoption, and value realisation.

• Collaborate with Solution Architects, Software Engineers, Data Scientists, Product teams, and Customer Success to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Translate customer objectives into measurable success metrics and facilitate Value Realisation Workshops.
• Manage project financials, including forecasting, revenue recognition, profitability, cost management, and reporting.
• Build trusted relationships with customer stakeholders, leading steering committees and providing clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Identify and manage risks, dependencies, and scope changes while ensuring governance and transparency.
• Support customer adoption through change management, enablement, and training while recognising opportunities to expand customer value.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of delivery practices by applying Cognite's PMO methodologies, playbooks, and lessons learned.

• As the Project Manager, you’ll be accountable for the successful delivery of complex Industrial AI implementation projects by:

Required Qualifications

• Experience working with Agile delivery methodologies and project governance frameworks such as Scrum, PMP, or PRINCE2.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage confidently across technical teams, customers, and executive stakeholders.
• Experience using project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project, or Smartsheet.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% as required.

Preferred Skills

• We’re particularly interested if you also bring experience in:
• PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or Scrum certification.
• Cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
• Industrial IoT, SCADA, MES, or Operational Technology (OT) environments.
• AI, Machine Learning, Data Engineering, or Analytics implementation projects.
