Job summary

QinetiQ is seeking a Senior Project Manager at our Bristol site to lead multiple defence and aerospace investment projects within the Air Ranges Modernisation programme. You will ensure delivery to time, cost and quality while maintaining strong customer satisfaction and cross-functional collaboration.

The role requires 3–5 years of relevant leadership experience, a recognised project management qualification (APM PMQ or equivalent), and eligibility for SC clearance.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years' experience leading business, projects, programmes, portfolios or P3 functions and delivering complex projects.
• Experience delivering Defence, Aerospace or Engineering projects.
• Recognised project management qualification e.g. APM PMQ or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of multiple projects to time, cost, quality and customer satisfaction.
• Ensuring project members operate in line with the Operating Framework and competency management requirements.
• Resolving conflicts within the project and collaborating across the business.
• Maintenance of forecasts (financial and resource) reflecting up-to-date expectations for the work.

The Role

The Mission Rehearsal Integrated Delivery Team are modernising and transforming QinetiQ's capabilities across the air ranges. The Long-Term Partnering Agreement (LTPA) has a clear requirement to transform the Air Ranges by introducing new and modern capabilities for all our Air Ranges Customers.

Day-to-day, you will be responsible for the safe delivery and oversight of strategically important investment projects as part of the Air Ranges Modernisation (ARM) Programme.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivery of multiple projects to time, cost, quality and customer satisfaction
• Ensuring project members operate in line with the Operating Framework and functional competency management requirements
• Resolving conflicts (including prioritisation calls) within the project and collaborating across the business
• Maintenance of forecasts (both financial and resource demand) for project delivery which reflects the up-to-date expectations for the work
• Leading the development of business cases for future capabilities

Essential experience of the Senior Project Manager:

• 3 to 5 years' experience of leading a business, projects, programmes, portfolios or P3 function and successfully delivering complex projects
• Experience delivering Defence, Aerospace or Engineering projects

Essential qualifications for the Senior Project Manager:

• Recognised project management qualification e.g. APM PMQ or equivalent
