Job summary

Mace is seeking a Senior Project Manager to support delivery of secured projects within a life sciences programme for a central government client. The role will be based on-site at Weybridge three days a week and in Moorgate, London, with hybrid working options.

You will manage delivery from inception to completion, oversee budgets and risks, lead design teams and stakeholders, and ensure quality and milestones are achieved while upholding Mace values and governance standards.

Qualifications

• Professional membership (RICS, CIOB, APM, ICE) or equivalent development.
• Extensive public-sector project and programme delivery experience.
• Strong commercial, financial and stakeholder management capability.

Responsibilities

• Manage project delivery from inception to completion, maintaining quality and milestones.
• Directing project manager responsible for the project delivery, reporting into the client.
• Manage project budgets and change management to maintain control over forecast outturn cost against budget.
• Maintain live risks registers and lead regular reviews with the wider team
• Manage design teams, consultants, and stakeholders, driving collaboration and service excellence.
• Contract administration of contractors and consultants in accordance with their contracts.
• Foster inclusivity, sustainability, and innovation while upholding Mace values.
• Oversee budgets, risks, and change management, maintaining accurate plans and documentation.

Opportunity to work within a life sciences programme, delivering critical national infrastructure for a central government client. We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to support in the delivery of secured projects within the programme of works.

In the next year we will be supporting our client deliver an increase in volume of works in construction compared to previous years, with construction starting on new buildings as well as supporting infrastructure network upgrades.

Please Note: This role will be based from our client's site in Weybridge, Surrey 3 days per week and Moorgate, London. This role will require the successful candidate to pass both BPSS and SC clearance.

You’ll Be Responsible For

You’ll Need To Have

• Proven experience in new build delivery.
• Experience across infrastructure and property is desirable.
