Senior Project Engineer – Nuclear and Power

As a Senior Project Engineer in AtkinsRéalis's Nuclear and Power business, you will work on a wide range of exciting nuclear projects including Hinkley Point C (HPC), Sizewell C (SZC), Small Modular Reactors (SMR) and defence-based opportunities. Your role spans design to site‑based engineering across Mechanical, Electrical, HVAC and Installation fields.

Key Qualifications
  • Degree, HND/C, or equivalent with a Mechanical Engineering or General Engineering background.
  • Chartered or Incorporated Member of a recognised professional institution (IMechE, IchemE).
  • Experience delivering engineering projects, emphasizing safety, quality, time, and cost.
  • Effective communication, quick integration into multidisciplinary teams and influence stakeholders.
  • Innovative problem solver with detail orientation and adherence to codes and standards.
  • Proactive self‑starter comfortable working independently or within teams.
  • Experience in the nuclear sector is not required; transferable experience from Nuclear, Military, Oil & Gas or Marine is welcomed.
