Job summary

A leading talent acquisition consultancy is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to ensure compliance with the new electrification standards and support project teams. The position is office-based in Romford with some travel required. Candidates must have proven experience in electrification systems and eligibility to work in the UK. This role offers a pay rate of £650-£700 per day on a fixed term contract until 30/04/2026.

Role: Senior Project Engineer - Electrification Systems

Location: London (office‑based, likely Romford, with some travel within local area)

Overview

We are seeking a Senior Project Engineer to support the implementation of the new 25kV isolation standard (NR/L3/ELP/SAI25) across an Eastern Region route. The role will focus on ensuring compliance with the new standard, supporting delivery teams in their transition, and assessing residual electrical hazards. The successful candidate will predominantly be office‑based and work closely with project and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with SAI25 in line with the project implementation plan.
  • Collaborate with Delivery Units (DU) and Systems Project Engineers (SPE) to develop a residual electrical hazard register.
  • Lead and support briefings at DU and Control levels.
  • Support Level 1 Assurance activities and SRP processes within DU regimes.
  • Assist in HAZID workshops, DRACAS close‑out, and isolation documentation updates.
  • Collaborate on EIDF data collation and post‑implementation analysis.
  • Contribute to ERAS mentoring schedules and signalling risk assessments as required.
  • Provide additional checks to ensure site access as needed.
