Senior Project Engineer

Location: Romford
Contract Length: 6 months
Pay Rate: £650-£700 per day Inside IR35

The role: I’m seeking a Senior Project Engineer (Non‑Digital) to support the implementation of the new 25kV Isolation Standard (NR/L3/ELP/SAI25) across the Eastern Region. The role will focus on ensuring compliance with the new standard, assessing residual electrical risks, and supporting delivery units in their transition. This is a key position contributing to the safe and efficient modernisation of electrification systems across the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage/develop a solution on signalling risk assessments required as part of SAI25
  • Collaborate/Lead with DU on development of residual electrical risk hazard register in collaboration with SPE
  • Manage the implementation of the 25kV Isolation Standard (NR/L3/ELP/SAI25) across an area of the Eastern Region.
Essential Experience
  • Demonstrable experience working within rail electrification systems.
  • Strong understanding of the isolation process and associated safety requirements.
  • Background in maintenance or works delivery within a rail environment.
