Job description

We're looking for a Senior Project Engineer to join our Natural Resources, Nuclear & Networks team based in the Thames Valley region (North), working on the Thames Water framework.

Location

Gerrards Cross / Thames Valley region - Oxfordshire and Hertfordshire.

Hours

45 hours per week – some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.

Kier is a strategic partner to Thames Water for AMP7 and AMP8 on capital frameworks across the Thames Water supply and treatment regions. We deliver design & build services for new and existing infrastructure assets (below ground) and non-infrastructure assets (below ground).

What will you be responsible for?

As a Senior Project Engineer, you'll be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered in line with Kier and the Thames Water KPI's.

Your day to day will include:

  • Engage with the supply chain partners on matters of health, safety and wellbeing, leading by example on leading indicators to promote engagement
  • Input to manage and update construction programmes ensuring key milestones are met
  • Prepare and issue invitations to tender with the Quantity Surveyor, collate responses and prepare a cost benefit analysis with recommendations for award
  • Selection of Mechanical & Electrical supply chain and package scope
  • Accountability for the design integration of the MEICA package plant against Thames Water Asset standards and WIMES
What are we looking for?

This role of Senior Project Engineer is great for you if you hold:

  • Experience within the water industry along with being a BEng/ ONC/ HNC/ BTEC qualified Mechanical or Electrical Engineer
  • CSCS card, SSSTS and Confined Spaces
  • Experience in reviewing RAMS and understanding the risks associated with process plant awareness
  • Commercial awareness
  • Full driving licence
