Overview

Senior Project Engineer – Measurement Systems – Location: Tunbridge Wells

Are you a technically driven engineer with a passion for delivering complex projects in the energy sector? I am currently looking for a Senior Project Engineer to lead the specification, design, fabrication, and testing of Liquid and Gas Metering or Sampling Systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead technical delivery of metering and sampling system projects from concept to completion.
  • Develop cost-effective designs aligned with customer specifications and international standards.
  • Prepare technical requisitions and procurement packages for skid packages, valves, and instrumentation.
  • Oversee Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Direct mechanical and electrical designers in producing project documentation.
  • Act as the primary technical contact for clients and vendors throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support sales teams with technical input for proposals and cost control.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement.
Qualifications
  • Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering (Electrical experience beneficial).
  • Proven experience in skid-mounted package design, ideally within oil & gas.
  • Strong understanding of flow measurement devices and integration requirements.
  • Familiarity with ASME, NORSOK, ISO standards, and PED/PER compliance.
  • Knowledge of metering, proving, and sampling standards (API & ISO).
  • Experience with ATEX/IECEX certified electrical equipment.
  • Skilled in problem-solving, MS Office tools, and working within ISO 9001:2015 systems.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
