A leading water company in the UK is seeking a Senior Engineer to oversee wastewater network projects. Responsibilities include overseeing design, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate should have a degree in Civil Engineering and experience with waste infrastructure. This role offers a competitive salary and a hybrid working environment.
As a Senior Engineer within London Infrastructure, you’ll be at the forefront of transforming and modernising our wastewater networks — playing a key role in technical reviews, design discussions, and overseeing projects from concept through to construction. You’ll help prevent sewer flooding, reduce river spills, protect vital assets, and upgrade a historic network that keeps London flowing.
From gravity sewers and rising mains to pumping stations and trunk sewer inspections, you’ll work on a diverse range of impactful projects, including those involving rail crossings, pollution reduction, and structural upgrades to pipe and vehicle bridges — all contributing to a cleaner, more resilient London.
Work Location: Hybrid basis at Maple Lodge Sewage Treatment works, office and site visits will be required up to 2-3 times a week
Working Hour: 36 hours a week
The team is at the heart of the delivery process, taking projects from initial design right through to construction and commissioning. In the role, you will work with a wide range of people across Thames Water and our contractors.
