Job summary

Dornan Engineering Group is seeking a Project Director to lead a major on-site project in London. You will chair handovers, develop plans, and manage procurement, programs, and cost controls with client and design teams.

Qualifications

• Detailed knowledge of the Project Director role.
• Commercial understanding of project delivery.
• Ability to prioritise Health, Safety and Environmental activities.
• Recognition of strengths and weaknesses with commitment to development.
• Acceptance of responsibility and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Chair handover from estimating to construction team; validate project and develop plan.
• Produce procurement and construction plans, program, and cost controls.
• Liaise with client and design team on procurement and engineering issues.
• Oversee day-to-day site activities; ensure on-time and within-cost delivery.
• Attend client meetings and weekly progress meetings with subcontractors; ensure safety training.
• Coordinate installation and labour/subcontractor management per contract.
• Test, commission, and handover at project completion; final accounts with QS.
