Job Summary

Are you a Health Tech entrepreneur or programme manager with experience in the commercial sector? Are you excited by the potential of innovation to help solve some of healthcare's biggest challenges?

We are seeking an experienced, commercially minded leader to lead digital transformation across a dynamic set of programmes. This pivotal role is responsible for overseeing successful delivery of projects such as the DigitalHealth.London Accelerator and Launchpad, helping innovators and NHS partners navigate the complexities of digital transformation.

Main Duties

As one of two Senior Programme Managers, you will work alongside the Programme Director and the Commercial Director, holding a portfolio of programmes at the Health Innovation Network South London, including DigitalHealth.London.

  • Programme Delivery – Manage the delivery of a portfolio of Innovator Support programmes, supervising staff across DigitalHealth.London’s operational activities, ensuring measurable outcomes, metrics, and resources are met, and overseeing all funding requirements.
  • Stakeholder Engagement – Lead the team of Navigators to develop and maintain significant NHS, social care and third sector networks, understanding system priorities and opportunities to keep DigitalHealth.London at the forefront of NHS innovation.
  • Business Development & Partnerships – Work closely with the Programme Director to develop and deliver the strategic vision and new partnerships, sustaining, modifying, and expanding DigitalHealth.London.

Health Innovation Network (HIN) South London connects academics, NHS commissioners and providers, local authorities, patient groups, and industry to accelerate the spread and adoption of innovations, using an evidence‑based approach across health and social care economies. HIN transforms care in diabetes, cardiometabolic disease, mental health, community settings and social care, and accelerates digital health uptake into the NHS.

DigitalHealth.London connects NHS staff, digital health companies and academics, equipping them to improve the NHS and social care in London through technology. The programmes provide bespoke advice, mentoring, education, peer networking, brand awareness and partnership opportunities to digital health leaders tackling patient and staff challenges.

Assessment Process

A two‑stage assessment process will be conducted. The main interviews are scheduled for 13/14 Jan 2026 (details to follow). The top two scoring candidates will be invited to a second interview with our Executive Lead.

Person Specification

Qualifications – Essential

  • Relevant Masters, equivalent professional qualification, or equivalent experience
  • Formal qualification in Project Management (PRINCE 2) to practitioner level or equivalent
  • Evidence of recent continuing CPD

Experience – Essential

  • Evidence of leading successful projects and/or operational performance and improvement, including business case preparation, service initiation/commissioning, contract negotiation, and development/monitoring of output and outcome measures
  • Experience managing large, multi‑stranded budgets from diverse income sources, with demonstrable evidence of individual, team, financial, process and change management

Experience – Desirable

  • Highly developed knowledge and understanding of the changing NHS environment, strategy, and policy agendas

Skills – Essential

  • Excellent management skills, including motivating and coaching staff
  • Extensive knowledge of operations and/or project management techniques
  • Excellent interpersonal communication (written, oral, presentation, facilitation), networking and negotiation skills with a track record of consistently delivering performance targets
  • Commitment to partnership working, inclusion of a diverse workforce and service integration
