Job summary

Albright is seeking a Senior Production Engineer to manage and direct the production engineering team, ensuring products are built to the required standards. You will develop and implement lean processes, maintain tooling registers, and support global Albright sites with standardised procedures.

The role includes developing bespoke test equipment, providing technical guidance on existing and new products, and driving continuous improvements across all plants.

Qualifications

• Recognised qualification in electro/mechanical engineering; HND/HNC preferred.
• Good knowledge of H&S safety within the workplace and safe use of equipment.
• 3-5 years experience in a similar manufacturing environment and position.
• Knowledge of turning, milling, electrical wiring/fault finding electrical test equipment.
• Computer/keyboard skills, along with competent use of hand tools and electrical test equipment.
• Good eye for detail, and ability to read engineering drawings and specifications.
• Ability to communicate and interact with staff at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Provide Production Engineering support to all production areas within the organisation.
• Provide documentation and reports that allow Production to build and test products correctly.
• Give technical support on existing products and the introduction of new products.
• Ensure all equipment is maintained and operates safely.
• Ensure that equipment in production is maintained and serviced as required.
• Troubleshoot process and testing problems.
• Assess component manufacture so as to ensure continual process improvements.
• Diagnose test equipment faults and take remedial/corrective action as required.
• Ensure that consumables are maintained.
