Job summary

Secure Consult is seeking a Senior Product Test Engineer in Glenrothes to advance diagnostics and fault finding on high-rel electronics. You will support the full test lifecycle, present data to cross-functional teams, and help implement DFM/DFT principles in a manufacturing environment.

Experience in defence electronics and BPSS vetting is preferred or may be required. The role is on-site in Glenrothes, with opportunities for professional development and impact on critical national security

Qualifications

• Degree or higher in Electronics or related field.
• Defence/industrial experience in high-reliability electronics preferred.
• BPSS security vetting may be required or obtainable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct diagnostic and fault finding on electronic assemblies to component level.
• Support the test lifecycle of high reliability electronics products.
• Present test data and findings to engineering and production teams.
• Implement Design for Manufacturing and Design for Test (DFM/DFT) principles.
• Mentor diagnostic technicians and junior staff.
• Apply corrective actions and debug techniques to production electronics.
• Challenge existing processes and propose improvements.

What you could work on

• Conduct diagnostic and fault finding activities on electronic assemblies to component level
• Support the test lifecycle of high reliability electronics products
• Present test data and findings to engineering and production teams

• Mentor and guide diagnostic technicians and junior staff
• Apply corrective actions and debug techniques to production electronics

• Work across a range of electronic technologies in a manufacturing environment
• Qualified in Electronics at degree, post-graduate, or equivalent level
• Experience in defence or military electronics environment preferred
• Proven skills in testing and fault finding electronic assemblies to component level
• Knowledge of test lifecycle and product validation processes
• Experience with Design for Manufacturing and Test (DFM/DFT)
• Ability to present technical data clearly to teams
• Security clearance: BPSS required
