Foundation Partners Group is hiring a Senior Product Engineer for an AI-driven life sciences platform. You will own the web interfaces used by scientists, primarily in React/TypeScript, with services in Java and Python behind it. Expect a frontend‑focused role with opportunities to deepen into API layers as needed.

The position is London-based with hybrid work (2–3 days on site). You’ll contribute to a fast-moving, high‑stakes product at a small, ambitious team and will be rewarded with equity

Qualifications

• 4+ years of engineering experience with deep React/TypeScript expertise and solid full‑stack range.
• Shipped product experiences that users rely on; strong product taste, attention to interaction details and polish.
• Previous background at FAANG, top AI labs, or a startup/scale‑up with a standout product engineering function.
• Nice to have: genuine curiosity about building with AI or AI-powered features.

Responsibilities

• Own the frontend surfaces where scientists interact with the platform, end-to-end through production.
• Develop and maintain the component systems and frontend architecture for rapid shipping.
• Collaborate closely with founders, customers, and domain experts to turn ambiguity into shipped product.

Overview

Our client is a well‑funded stealth startup within the Life Science industry and is building the groundbreaking AI operating system for drug discovery software.

They’re hiring a Senior Product Engineer to own the interfaces where scientists interact with the platform. The stack is React and TypeScript on the front end, with Java and Python services behind it. You’ll live mostly in the frontend and API layers, with the range to go deeper when the product demands it.

Salary: £120,000-£150,000 + equity

Location: London - Hybrid 2-3 days a week onsite

What you’ll own

• The product surfaces where scientists interact with the platform, end-to-end through to production
• Trust surfaces (provenance, citations, confidence) rendered so a scientist can check the work behind any answer
• The component systems and frontend architecture that let a small team ship polished product quickly
• Close work with founders, customers, and domain experts, turning ambiguity into shipped product

What they’re looking for

• You’ve shipped product experiences people rely on, and you can point to them and a strong product taste … you sweat interaction details, performance, and polish

This is a high-ownership role at a company of roughly a dozen people and it is fast‑moving, direct, and high‑stakes, with responsibility that will outrun your title.
