Job description

Saturn is a Series A-backed fintech transforming how financial advice is delivered.

We operate in one of the world’s largest industries. Wealth and asset managers oversee more than $100 trillion and generate over $1 trillion in annual revenue, yet much of the infrastructure used to manage that wealth remains fragmented, manual and institution-specific.

Saturn is starting with the productivity and compliance systems used by financial advisers.

Our story

Saturn joined Y Combinator in 2024 and became one of the fastest-growing B2B companies in its batch.

We grew organically to a meaningful share of the UK financial advice market before acquiring the legacy leader, one of the industry’s most established compliance rule engine and suitability businesses, in 2025.

That acquisition combined AI-native product engineering with more than two decades of regulatory expertise, proprietary compliance logic and deep industry distribution.

Within two years of launch, Saturn became the leading provider of AI transformation to UK financial advice firms, supporting more than 9,000 regulated advice professionals who manage about $500bn in assets.

We have proved distribution, trust and demand. The most important infrastructure is still ahead of us.

Your role

As a Senior Product Engineer, you will own significant adviser-facing product areas across web and mobile, from an ambiguous problem through to what ships.

Saturn is a Series A, Y Combinator-backed company building the AI-native operating system for financial advice. Our platform combines a living data model of the client, AI agents that complete complex advice and operational workflows, and compliance logic embedded directly into how work is produced. You will work with advisers, domain experts, designers and product leaders to understand the problem, decide the right approach and build the thing.

You will not wait for every decision to arrive as a detailed specification. You will use customer evidence, product data and technical judgement to make trade-offs and move work forward, and you will contribute to the frontend architecture and shared foundations that keep Saturn’s client-facing products coherent as we scale. Shipping features is not the point. Your work decides whether Saturn is a collection of capable tools or the product advisers rely on to run their working day.

The Team

Our engineers care deeply about craft, speed and quality. They include early and founding team members from companies including Rippling, Postman, Gojek, CRED and Slice.

You will work alongside product designers, backend engineers, AI engineers and domain experts with decades of experience in financial advice and compliance.

We are building a small, high calibre engineering organisation for people who want genuine ownership, difficult product problems and the opportunity to shape an important company while its foundations are still being formed.

What You’ll Work On
  • Owning adviser-facing workflows end to end across web and mobile, covering meetings, data capture, research, suitability, annual reviews and compliance
  • Interfaces for AI-assisted and agent-driven work , including how product behaves under incomplete data, uncertainty and long-running workflows
  • Shared frontend architecture, component systems and product foundations that keep the experience coherent as more teams build on it
  • Experiences that connect structured client data with documents, evidence and recommendations, including review, approval and escalation flows for regulated work
  • Building across frontend, backend and AI layers where the problem requires it, rather than stopping at the boundary of your discipline
  • Performance, accessibility and interaction quality across client-facing applications, plus the frontend observability that makes production behaviour legible
  • Evidence-led iteration : experimentation, analytics and production issues feeding directly back into what gets built next
  • Technical direction and standards within your area , including code review, testing, release quality, mentoring engineers and helping hire product-minded ones
What We’re Looking For
  • Shipping experience. 4+ years building customer-facing software in production, including ownership of a substantial product area from ambiguous problem through to adoption and iteration
  • Frontend depth. Strong engineering skill in TypeScript and modern web frameworks, with a record of contributing to frontend architecture and shared foundations
  • Full-stack capability. The judgement to work across the system where needed, and to build reliable interfaces around complex data, workflows and permissions
  • Product judgement. You observe how users actually work rather than only what they ask for, separate the request from the underlying problem, and explain your trade-offs clearly
  • You decide without a complete spec. You are comfortable owning decisions with incomplete information and real deadlines, and challenging scope that adds complexity without improving the outcome
  • Craft in production. Evidence of improving performance, accessibility and interaction quality, and of investigating production issues and turning findings into product improvements
  • Delivery at scale of months. A record of scoping and delivering work measured in months against a business or customer objective, working closely with design while staying accountable for feasibility and quality
  • Strong written communication. You document product and technical reasoning, raise the standard of the team around you and mentor other engineers
Preferred
  • Building software for financial services or another regulated domain, ideally financial advice, wealth management or investment products
  • Building AI-native products or interfaces around probabilistic systems
  • Designing human review, approval or exception handling workflows
  • Complex forms, document workflows or data-heavy applications
  • Design systems and frontend platform architecture
  • Enterprise products with sophisticated permissions and firm-specific configuration
  • Taking a product from early adoption to broad production use
What We Offer
  • Competitive salary with regular appraisals
  • Competitive equity package at an early stage company with high growth potential
  • Our beautiful new five-floor office, “The Dome”, equipped with an onsite gym and roof terrace
  • Best-in-class dental and medical insurance
  • A dedicated budget for learning and professional development
  • Access to an additional world-class gym and wellness centre two minutes from the office
  • A tight-knit, ambitious team that cares deeply about quality and each other
