Job summary

HB People Recruitment & HR Specialists seeks a Senior Product Developer for a pivotal role in Wigan, driving food and confectionery product development from concept to shelf. You will manage projects, build client relationships, and spot trends to shape future ranges.

With 2+ years in product development, you will work with UK/European retailers and manufacturers, travel as needed, and own key accounts to deliver innovative launches on time.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years' experience in food product development.
• A genuine passion for food, confectionery, innovation and consumer trends.
• Experience working directly with customers, ideally within the food manufacturing or retail sector.
• Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
• A creative, proactive and commercially aware approach.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• The confidence to take ownership of projects and work as part of a collaborative team.
• Experience working with major retailers such as M&S, Tesco, Asda, Morrisons or Costa would be particularly advantageous, as would previous experience in confectionery.
• You'll also need a full UK driving licence, access to your own vehicle and the flexibility to travel within the UK and occasionally Europe.

What will you be doing?

You'll play a key role in bringing exciting new food and confectionery products to market, working closely with manufacturers, suppliers and major retail customers.
