SC-Cleared UX/Product Designer

4-Month Contract | £500–£550/day | Outside IR35 | Remote (UK)

I’m supporting a client on an urgent hire for an SC-Cleared UX/Product Designer to join their defence‑focused team on a 4‑month contract. This is a hands‑on, high‑impact role working directly with engineers, researchers, and the Head of Product & Design.

Contract Details

• Day Rate: £500–£550/day
• Length: 4‑month contract (extension possible)
• Engagement: Outside IR35
• Location: Remote (UK)
• Clearance: Must hold active SC clearance

What You’ll Be Doing

• Own the end‑to‑end design workflow for defence decision‑support tools on their Collective Operating System
• Lead UX/UI for a complex, mission‑critical application
• Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, journey maps & UI assets
• Run design validations and iterate quickly based on user & stakeholder feedback
• Work daily with engineers, researchers, product, SMEs, and end users
• Present clear, evidence‑based design decisions to technical and non‑technical teams
• Support design system development using modern tooling (Figma, atomic design approach)

What They’re Looking For
