9fin is seeking a Senior Product Designer to expand the breadth and depth of the platform, solving complex, data-heavy workflows for professionals across global debt markets. You will shape AI-native workflows, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to a scalable design system while delivering intuitive interfaces for sophisticated users.

Qualifications

• Experience designing for fintech or enterprise SaaS is a plus.
• Ability to translate complex financial workflows into intuitive UX.
• Experience running discovery and framing problems with data and research.
• Proven ability to own design end-to-end and contribute to a design system.

Responsibilities

• Partner with customers, Product Managers, engineers, and SMEs to shape product vision and design strategy — not just how it looks, but how it works and why it matters.
• Synthesize research, feedback, domain expertise, and data to frame clear problems, and translate complex financial workflows into intuitive product experiences.
• Run discovery to understand user needs, how they work, and where technology can create real value.
• Align your work to clear outcomes, manage competing priorities, and focus your effort where it has the most impact in high-precision environments.
• Design interfaces that help users explore, understand, and act on AI-generated insights and complex datasets.
• Translate model outputs into clear, trustworthy interfaces — with source attribution, confidence, transparency, and appropriate user control.
• Partner with Product and Engineering on feedback loops and evaluation workflows to improve AI-powered experiences in production.
• Spot opportunities to apply emerging AI capabilities to real customer problems, prototyping new patterns where no playbook exists yet.
• Own design end-to-end — flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI that hold up across edge cases and complex data conditions.
• Work as an embedded partner to Product, Engineering, Data, and subject matter experts.
• Communicate design rationale clearly and bring stakeholders along, especially in new or ambiguous territory.
• Contribute to and evolve the design system to support increasingly sophisticated, data-heavy, AI-driven workflows.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer to help expand the breadth and depth of the 9fin platform.

You’ll join a cross‑functional product and engineering team solving complex, high‑value problems for professionals across global debt markets, spanning AI‑powered workflows, financial data and analysis, transaction intelligence, document management, and other emerging product areas.

You’ll help shape products used by teams at leading investment banks, asset managers, private equity firms, law firms, and advisory businesses ‑ sophisticated users working with large volumes of complex information, where speed, accuracy, and trust are critical.

It’s a chance to shape frontier AI‑native products inside a company using technology to transform one of the world’s largest financial markets.

What you’ll work on

Product & Design Strategy

• Partner with customers, Product Managers, engineers, and subject matter experts to shape product vision and design strategy — not just how it looks, but how it works and why it matters.

About you

This role will be a great fit if you are:

• Comfortable with complexity: you’ve designed for sophisticated users or high‑stakes domains (fintech, enterprise SaaS, data platforms, professional tools). Financial markets experience is useful but not required — curiosity matters more.
• A systems thinker: you shape workflows, behaviours, and trust, not just screens, zooming from the big picture to the finest interaction detail.
• Focused on trust and precision: you think in edge cases, error states, and ambiguity, especially where AI is involved.
• AI‑native in how you work: generative AI is a natural part of your process, from research to prototyping to stress‑testing ideas.
• A natural prototyper: you find the fastest way to make an idea tangible, whether that’s AI tools, Figma, code, or a pencil sketch.
• Energised by a blank page: you thrive defining something new and iterating quickly through ambiguity.
• A strong communicator: you run discovery interviews, facilitate workshops, and know when to challenge, align, or move a team forward.
• Skilled in your craft: fluent in Figma, comfortable choosing the right fidelity, and experienced contributing to a design system.
