Job description

Role Overview

Secret Mode is looking for an experienced Senior Producer to help lead our growing portfolio of live-service games.

You’ll take direct ownership of several titles, helping development teams transition towards sustainable live-service models and deliver regular updates across PC and console.

Working closely with the Head of Production, you’ll help establish how we plan, deliver and operate live games across the Secret Mode portfolio.

This is an influential role within the Production team. We’re looking for someone who can bring structure and clarity to complex live-service projects, identify risks early and confidently lead conversations with both internal teams and external development partners.

Previous publishing experience would be beneficial, but it isn’t essential. We’re more interested in finding someone with strong production fundamentals, meaningful live-service experience and the leadership skills to support both projects and people.

In your new role you will:
  • Take production ownership of several live-service titles across PC and console.
  • Work with external development partners to establish clear roadmaps, update cadences, milestones and delivery plans.
  • Support games transitioning from traditional premium releases into sustainable live-service models.
  • Coordinate the delivery of updates, downloadable content, seasonal content, quality-of-life improvements and platform releases.
  • Ensure project plans account for development, QA, localisation, age ratings, platform submissions, certification, marketing and community requirements.
  • Track schedules, scope, budgets, dependencies and team capacity across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Identify project and portfolio-level risks early, establish clear mitigations and escalation issues when necessary.
  • Lead regular project meetings and ensure decisions, actions and responsibilities are clearly communicated.
  • Build strong, constructive relationships with external studios while holding teams accountable for agreed deliverables.
  • Work closely with Commercial, Marketing, Community, Creative, QA and Platform teams to align development priorities with wider publishing plans.
  • Use player feedback, community sentiment, performance data and commercial priorities to help inform live content roadmaps.
  • Support release readiness, launch planning and the management of live incidents or urgent post-release issues.
  • Provide clear and concise project reporting to the Head of Production and wider leadership team.
  • Support other producers, strengthening their development and providing oversight across their projects.
  • Act as a senior point of contact for the Production team, providing guidance and decision-making support when required.
  • Help improve Secret Mode’s live-service production processes, planning standards and ways of working.
To be successful you will have:
  • Significant experience in game production, including experience at Senior Producer level.
  • Strong experience delivering and operating live-service games.
  • Experience working across PC and console platforms.
  • A track record of shipping games, major updates or downloadable content through the full development and release lifecycle.
  • Experience managing multiple projects, releases or development workstreams simultaneously.
  • A strong understanding of live-service planning, including content roadmaps, release cadence, ongoing support and reactive development.
  • Excellent project-management skills, with the ability to turn high-level goals into clear, realistic and measurable plans.
  • Confidence assessing schedules, challenging assumptions and identifying delivery risks.
  • Experience line-managing, mentoring or developing other producers.
  • Strong stakeholder-management skills and the ability to communicate clearly with people across different disciplines and levels of seniority.
  • A collaborative but decisive approach, with the confidence to lead difficult conversations and drive projects towards clear outcomes.
  • A practical understanding of how development, QA, platform, marketing, community and commercial teams contribute to a successful live game.
  • The ability to remain calm and organised when managing changing priorities, live issues and competing demands.
  • A willingness and ability to work from our Sheffield office two days per week.
Nice to have:
  • Experience working within a games publisher or managing relationships between a publisher and external development studios.
  • Experience with console certification, platform submissions and release management.
  • Experience transitioning an existing premium title towards ongoing live development.
  • Experience delivering multiplayer or online games.
  • Knowledge of downloadable content, cosmetic content, player progression, retention, monetisation or seasonal content models.
  • Experience working with co-development partners, porting studios or outsourced development teams.
  • Experience using player data, telemetry and community feedback to inform development priorities.
  • Experience working across different genres, team sizes or live-service models.
