Job summary

The Barbican Centre seeks a Senior Producer, Learning and Participation to lead the Creative Collaboration team in London. You will develop and deliver participatory programmes engaging young people and underrepresented communities across art forms.

You will manage budgets, lead teams, and collaborate with Barbican departments to realise a dynamic artistic programme that broadens access and reflects London's diversity.

Qualifications

• Significant experience of community arts, youth participatory or arts education work.
• Proven delivery of large-scale, public participatory arts events across art forms.
• Commitment to equity and cultural diversity with diverse artists and audiences.
• Experience of managing complex budgets and financial planning.
• Experience in preparing, presenting, and implementing business plans and strategies.
• Strong leadership, inspiring teams to deliver high-impact programmes.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and stakeholder negotiation ability.
• Experience presenting to senior staff and external partners.
• Strong writing skills and computer proficiency (Word/Excel/Access).
• Innovative, collaborative producer aligned with Barbican's strategic vision.

Responsibilities

• Manage the learning and community team and oversee participation programmes.
• Collaborate across Barbican artform departments to deliver participatory events.
• Deliver on the Creative Collaboration strategic vision with the Barbican Arts Programme.
• Engage with the City of London and surrounding boroughs to broaden access.
