A public sector recruitment agency is seeking a Senior Procurement Officer to lead high-impact procurement projects that create real value. The candidate will manage projects worth £25k-£25m+, delivering strategic sourcing compliant with the Procurement Act 2023. Overview

Alexander Faraday Recruitment are delighted to be supporting our public sector client in their search for a Senior Procurement Officer. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver high-impact, strategic procurement projects that create real value for stakeholders. You'll lead end-to-end procurement across a wide range of categories and values (£25k-£25m+), helping shape how this forward-thinking organisation spends, partners, and delivers for its people.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage complex, high-value procurement projects across multiple categories
  • Deliver compliant, strategic sourcing under the Procurement Act 2023
  • Develop procurement strategies and pipelines that drive value and social impact
  • Advise colleagues on best practice for mid- and lower-value procurements
  • Conduct market engagement and supplier performance monitoring
About You
  • Proven experience managing end-to-end public sector procurements (above threshold)
  • Strong knowledge of the Procurement Act 2023 and relevant regulations
  • Skilled in using frameworks, DPSs, e-procurement, and P2P systems
  • Excellent stakeholder management and commercial awareness
  • Degree in business, procurement, or related field (CIPS desirable)
  • Full driving license and access to own vehicle
