A reputable client in London is seeking a Senior Procurement Officer to lead on delivering medium to high value tenders within the Construction Category. The role involves managing multiple projects, conducting market research, and working collaboratively with stakeholders. Candidates should hold a CIPS level 4 or equivalent by experience. This position offers a salary between £45,000 and £55,000 per annum, with benefits including over 30 days annual leave and pension contributions.

Job description

Cedar are delighted to be supporting a reputable client of ours in London with the recruitment of a Senior Procurement Officer to work within the Construction Category.

The role is Permanent and will require you to get into the office in London on a Hybrid Basis.

The main purpose of the role is to lead on the delivery of medium to high value tenders, some of which are complex and over threshold.

The salary on offer is between 45-55K per annum.

Main Duties:

  • Lead medium value and risk tenders through all stages of the process from initiation through to contract mobilisation.
  • Manage multiple procurement projects at any given time.
  • You will need to build and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders at all levels including senior managers and budget holders.
  • Work collaboratively with subject matter experts including legal teams to develop the form of contract, special terms and conditions, KPI’s and where appropriate incentive or payment strategies.
  • Conduct thorough market research prior to developing a procurement strategy.
  • Assess sustainability and social value to maximise beneficial impacts arising throughout the procurement.
  • Prepare a tender evaluation report on completion of the tender exercise; Support the mobilisation of the contract prior to handover.
  • Attend project/review board meetings as required; Ensure effective communication and engagement with stakeholders and partners (including external suppliers).

Essential Requirements:

  • CIPS level 4 or equivalent by experience.
