Job summary

Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service is seeking a Senior Procurement Manager to shape CFRS's procurement function from its newly established team at CFRS Headquarters, Winsford.

You will lead strategic procurement across a diverse portfolio, provide expert advice to senior leaders, and ensure value for money through robust governance, estates and IT procurement, including complex IT solutions. The role supports essential public services across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Requires Level 6 procurement qualification and substantial procurement experience in the public sector.
• Strong understanding of public procurement legislation and governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic procurement across a diverse portfolio of spend categories and ensure robust governance.
• Oversee Estates procurement (Construction) and Information Technology procurement (including complex IT solutions).
• Provide expert procurement advice and drive continuous improvement to shape CFRS processes and culture.
• Collaborate with senior leaders to deliver value for money and effective supplier relationships.
• Ensure compliance with public procurement legislation and governance requirements.
