Job Description

As a Senior Procurement Manager you will combine hands‑on operational procurement, sourcing with strategic leadership. You'll have the autonomy to drive improvements, influence sourcing strategy, and build strong relationships across UK and European sites. You will however, work with a large supply chain team on a local and international basis.

You’ll be expected to:
  • Lead end‑to‑end procurement's for indirect categories; transport and warehousing being of paramount importance as well as capex, MRO, secondary packaging, consumables, and plant‑based support. This also covers service functions such as catering, cleaning, security, packaging, repair materials, consumables.
  • Manage supplier relationships and contract negotiations.
  • Align sourcing strategy with plant operations and business goals.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings, service improvements, and innovation.
The Successful Applicant
  • Proven experience in both procurement and logistics, with a strong track record as a Senior Procurement Manager who can manage end to end logistics, warehousing, and broader indirect procurement categories.
  • Essential that you have worked as a procurement leader within the manufacturing, logistics, or FMCG.
  • Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills are essential.
  • Ability to connect operational realities with strategic objectives ideal candidates will have experience as a site‑based procurement leader, enabling them to navigate both the shop floor and the boardroom with confidence and credibility.
  • A strategic mindset, passion for procurement with attention to detail and commercial acumen.
  • A degree in a relevant field (CIPS or logistics qualifications are a plus).
  • Flexibility to travel regularly to the UK plant sites and to other sites in Europe.
