We have the privilege of recruiting on behalf of an innovative business, who are a leader in their sector, supplying UK and European Retail customers with Fresh, High Quality Fresh Produce. Due to exciting growth within the business, we currently offer the opportunity of Senior Procurement Manager.

The opportunity of Senior Procurement Manager will report to Director level and will take responsibility for the company procurement strategy on imported products, managing & directing the procurement function within this fresh produce arena.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage key relationships with suppliers and company partners
• Encourage and support within the team
• Support import category management
• Deputise for Procurement Director

Qualifications

• Experience within the Fresh Produce sector, in a Procurement / Buying focused position is essential
• A thorough understanding of global product sourcing, ideally across Fruit categories
• Excellent management skills, working to encourage and develop the team
• Strong communication skills, at all levels, with an approachable manner
• Attention to detail, meticulous, and a strategic thinker
• Highly influential, with excellent negotiating skills
• Languages advantageous
