Job description
Senior Procurement Manager - Campaigns

Location: Filton / Barrow-in-Furness / Sheffield – Hybrid & flexible working arrangements

Salary: £66,500+ (DoE)

What you’ll be doing
  • Provide functional influence for Weapon Systems supply chain activities across key bids and campaigns, ensuring effective development, implementation, and coordination
  • Support supply chain activities within Capture teams, collaborating across functions to provide full capture support
  • Develop and ensure strategic sourcing strategies and options as part of cross‑functional product and bid/campaign teams
  • Support Make vs Buy strategies alongside senior leadership, reviewing opportunities to maximise business value
  • Work closely with Commercial leads to develop partnerships and engagement strategies for major subcontractors
  • Prepare and maintain Supply Chain Capture Plans and contribute to critical capture reviews for key bids and campaigns
  • Travel extensively across the UK and overseas to support bids, campaigns, partners, and suppliers, ensuring delivery and engagement at all levels
Essential skills and experiences
  • Working knowledge of the legal environment for contracts and framework agreements in the defence sector
  • Understanding of regulatory frameworks relevant to supply chain practices, such as Import/Export, ITAR, and Defence Procurement Regulations
  • A driver of change with excellent persuasion, influence, and communication skills, able to inspire stakeholder commitment and strategic thinking
  • Ability to develop, implement, and support business change strategies and coordinate bids effectively
  • Experience in the defence sector
Desirable
  • Experience across the end-to-end strategic procurement lifecycle, with a focus on early life and campaign engagement
  • Ability to capture and share team experience on strategic bids, particularly with a supply chain focus
  • MCIPS qualified (or equivalent)
