A charitable organization is seeking an experienced procurement manager to maximize value for expenditure while supporting services related to breast cancer. The successful candidate will work within the legal and governance team, enhancing procurement practices and building relationships with stakeholders. Experience in tendering and commercial negotiations is essential, along with knowledge of IT systems procurement.
We re looking to recruit an experienced procurement manager to help us achieve best value for money with our spend so that we can invest more in our services that support people with breast cancer. If successful you ll be working as part of the legal and governance team and will have responsibility for both initiating and supporting our procurement projects. You ll be building upon the relationships with contract owners that we ve in place, offering best practice guidance to help them achieve their objectives whilst ensuring that value for money is achieved and risks mitigated. As our charity continues to grow you ll have the opportunity to share your knowledge and develop your procurement experience across a wide and varied range of contracts.
Our successful candidate will have good procurement experience in leading and supporting tenders for goods and services with a sound knowledge of IT system procurement. Experience of charity specific contracts would be an advantage but not essential.
You ll have good negotiating skills being able to lead on supplier commercial negotiations. You should be able to demonstrate where and how you have added value to the procurement process. The ability to help with drafting tender specifications and statements of work is a key requirement for this role. CIPS qualified, or working towards the qualification, would be an advantage but not essential.
