Job summary

Veolia UK is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to lead process design for water, wastewater and bioresources across projects in the UK. You will act as lead engineer from conceptual studies through detailed design, delivering innovative, commercially viable technical solutions in collaboration with business development teams, with UK travel required for site investigations and design reviews.

The role supports business growth by providing expert process design input for proposals while driving

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical Engineering or similar discipline.
• Experience in process design of water and wastewater treatment plants (concept to detailed design).
• Proven experience developing technical solutions for commercial bids.
• Experience applying value engineering and design optimisation.
• Organised and able to meet project deadlines.
• Full UK driving licence and ability to travel across the UK.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to process engineers and designers; lead process design in multi-disciplinary teams.
• Plan workload across project lifecycles from bidding to execution; manage multiple complex projects (£20k to £50m+) with competing deadlines.
• Communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences; draft proposals and reports; present to clients and executives.
• Establish and own technical relationships with customers during bidding phases; act as interface between internal teams and external clients.
• Build Veolia's reputation as a Water Technical Expert; deliver workshops and represent the company at industry events.
• Embed sustainability into designs; optimise for energy use, chemical usage, and resource recovery.
