Wood is recruiting for a Senior Process Engineer to join the TAQA contract, providing engineering support to modifications and projects across the full life cycle—from studies and FEED to detailed design—to ensure TAQA delivers quality projects that meet the Asset’s requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the maintenance of the lifecycle technical integrity and operational risk management of offshore installations by applying appropriate engineering standards, procedures and guidance documents.
- Prepare and develop key process engineering documents including Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams, Basis of Design, Locked Valve Register, Line List and Operating Manuals.
- Undertake process design work as required and check the work of other engineers as appropriate.
- Provide support to other disciplines in the development and update of Safety Instrumented System assessments (SIL), Hazardous Area Classifications, Cause & Effect Diagrams and Alarm Management Philosophies.
- Provide input to HAZID/ENVID, HAZOP, SIL and other process safety reviews as directed.
- Contribute to the review of supplier quotations and the 3D CAD model of the project.
- Participate in technical meetings and handle discussions with project and asset personnel.
- Ensure technical compliance with TAQA Management System and all relevant statutory instruments, codes, regulations, practice notes, safety notices and flashes.
- Assess deviations from standard and obtain approval from technical authorities where appropriate.
- Execute process engineering activities within budget and schedule while maintaining technical integrity of the designs.

- Degree or equivalent professional qualification in Chemical Engineering.
- Current offshore medical and survival certification.
- Chartered Engineer status with an appropriate engineering council, or actively working towards accreditation.
- Sound knowledge of offshore installation operations and lifecycle asset integrity management.
- Proficiency in engineering practices, codes and standards relevant to life‑cycle asset integrity and process safety.
- Expertise in hazard identification, risk assessment, and management of change processes.
- Understanding of key legislation and regulatory framework applicable to the UKCS offshore regime.
- Experience in Studies, FEED and Detailed Design projects within the UK offshore oil & gas sector.
- Previous de‑commissioning support experience in the UKCS.
- Willingness to travel offshore.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High level of professional and personal credibility—internally and externally.
