Job description

Overview

This is a Mott MacDonald Bentley role, employed by Mott MacDonald. Mott MacDonald Bentley is a joint venture between JN Bentley and Mott MacDonald, offering integrated design and build services. The role is employed by Mott MacDonald but will involve working across the joint venture with Mott MacDonald and JN Bentley colleagues. You will contribute to projects that benefit our communities, particularly in the UK water market, ensuring water flows and wastewater is treated efficiently.

As a Senior Process Engineer you will oversee the process design of projects from the outline to detailed design stages and provide support during construction and commissioning. This position offers the opportunity to develop technical and management skills and advance your career.

Responsibilities

• Leading the development of process design deliverables, such as process models, mass balances, and control philosophies.
• Providing technical assurance of process designs undertaken by others and ensuring designs comply with framework standards and industry best practices.
• Identifying opportunities for innovation to meet whole-life cost and net-zero drivers.
• Working closely with commercial, operational and construction teams to develop efficient, practical and safe solutions throughout design stages, construction and beyond.
• Positively engaging with the client, managing relationships and adopting a one-team approach to achieving client aims.
• Supporting the development of the process engineering team, coaching and mentoring engineers to develop their skills and identifying the correct resource for projects.
