Taxation in Manchester seeks a Senior Private Client Tax Manager to lead bespoke advisory for business owners and high net worth individuals. You will guide transactions, succession planning and wealth preservation, with a focus on tax-efficient outcomes and strategic shareholder planning.

The role supports growth in a dynamic advisory team, mentoring juniors and driving client relationships, with hybrid work requiring two days in Manchester city centre.

Qualifications

• Qualified ACA/ACCA/CTA/ATT/ICAS.
• Experience in UK private client tax.
• Advisory experience with shareholders.
• Background in compliance with a desire to do more advisory work.

Responsibilities

• Deliver bespoke private client tax advisory services to business owners, shareholders and high net worth individuals.
• Advise on transactions including trade sales, private equity investments, MBOs, demergers and business exits.
• Support clients with succession planning, inheritance tax planning, family investment companies and wealth preservation strategies.
• Provide advice on cash extraction and shareholder planning to achieve tax-efficient outcomes.
• Work with professional partnerships and LLPs, advising partners through transactions, restructurings and ownership changes.
• Support founders and rapidly growing businesses through fundraising, growth, shareholder planning and exit events.
• Build strong client relationships, acting as a trusted adviser on complex tax matters.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to business development activities.
