Job summary

A leading legal firm in West Yorkshire is seeking an experienced Senior Private Client Solicitor to oversee complex private client matters. This role offers a genuine pathway to becoming a Legal Director or Partner within two years. The ideal candidate should have over 5 years' PQE in Private Client law, with significant experience in HNW estates and trust administration. You will lead and mentor others while fostering client relationships. Competitive salary and benefits such as 25 days’ holiday plus additional time off are offered.

This is a rare opportunity for a Senior Private Client Solicitor to take the lead on high-quality, complex private client matters within a growing and nationally recognised team.

Who we’re looking for
  • 5+ years’ PQE in Private Client law
  • Solid experience managing HNW estates, trust administration, succession planning, and complex wills
  • Confident working on taxable and non-taxable estates with minimal supervision
  • STEP qualified or working towards
  • Experience mentoring junior colleagues or leading small teams
  • Background in a city centre or large regional firm, now seeking more balance and autonomy
  • Collaborative and confident, someone who enjoys sharing their knowledge and helping others grow
What you’ll be doing
  • Running a high-quality caseload independently, with support if needed
  • Taking a technical lead on complex files and advising on HNW matters
  • Mentoring and supporting junior team members and trainees
  • Building relationships with IFAs, accountants, and referrers
  • Helping the department grow by contributing to business development
  • Supporting clients through the full spectrum of Private Client services, wills, probate, trusts, tax, LPAs, estate planning and more
