Job summary

A leading Leicester law firm is seeking a Senior Private Client Solicitor to join its Private Client team in Leicester. You will handle wills, trusts, probate, and Court of Protection work for high-net-worth clients and vulnerable individuals, playing a key role in growth and client service.

The role offers hybrid working, a clear path to senior roles, ongoing STEP support, and a prestigious client base. The successful candidate will have 5+ years PQE and strong client-care skills.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive status.
• Ideally 5+ years' PQE in private client law.
• STEP qualification or commitment to achieve it.
• Experience advising high-net-worth clients.
• Excellent interpersonal and client care skills.
• Ability to manage a busy caseload independently.

Senior Private Client Solicitor

Location: Leicester

Salary: £60,000 to £80,000

The Opportunity

A leading and highly respected Leicester law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Private Client Solicitor to join its thriving Private Client team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a prestigious client base, including high-net-worth individuals, business owners, landed estates, and vulnerable clients, while taking a leading role in the growth and development of the department.

The Role

• Drafting wills and powers of attorney
• Advising on inheritance tax and estate planning
• Administering estates and trusts
• Handling Court of Protection applications
• Supporting high-net-worth individuals and vulnerable clients with sensitivity and discretion

In addition, you will:

• Advise clients on complex trust and succession planning matters
• Manage high-value estate administration cases
• Build and maintain strong client relationships
• Mentor and supervise junior team members
• Play an active role in business development and networking initiatives
• Contribute strategically to the continued success and growth of the Private Client department

About You

• Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive status
• Ideally 5+ years' PQE within private client law
• Strong technical expertise across wills, probate, trusts, tax planning, and estate administration
• Experience advising high-net-worth clients
• STEP qualification or a desire to work towards it
• Excellent interpersonal and client care skills
• A compassionate and professional approach, particularly when assisting vulnerable clients
• Proven ability to manage a busy caseload independently
