Vicinity Technologies Limited, a dynamic leader in the UK’s 5G and AI landscape, is seeking highly skilled Senior/Principal Wireless Systems Design Engineers to spearhead our cutting-edge wireless communication projects. As a key contributor, you will play an integral role in shaping the future of 5G, 6G and NTN technologies.

Job Responsibilities
  • R&D in 5G/6G TN and NTN radio access network and user terminals software and intelligent application software.
  • Design and optimize 5G and AI signal processing algorithms for communications systems, physical layer software and protocol stack software.
  • Develop cutting-edge 5G/6G mobile intelligent systems including, MAC/RRM/SON algorithms, system level simulation and theoretical analysis, and Research and development on wireless standard technologies.
  • Participate in 5G end-to-end system integration, interoperability testing, verifications, performance testing and tuning on 5G/6G base stations and user terminals, network deployment and field trials.
Requirements
  • Ph.D. holder or Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or relevant disciplines with minimum 3 years of related experiences. Candidate with less experiences may also be considered.
  • Solid knowledge of radio communications theory and digital signal processing. Background in cellular communication systems across PHY, MAC, and RF is preferred.
  • Programming/scripting skills in MATLAB, Python, C/C++ is preferred.
  • Proven track record with innovative problem solving and hands‑on experience in design, development, testing, and standardization will be an advantage.
  • R&D project development experience is preferred.
  • A team player with good analytical and communication skills.
