A leading engineering consultancy in Sheffield seeks a Senior / Principal Structural Engineer to lead multi-discipline projects and manage the development of engineers toward Chartership. You will ensure technical accuracy, manage project resources, and cultivate client relationships. The position offers a salary of £40,000 - £55,000 depending on experience and a permanent contract.
Based on the West side of Leeds, this multi-disciplinary engineering and environmental consultancy works both nationally and internationally, across disciplines including civil, structural, health and safety, mechanical and electrical, waste management and sustainable energy.
Established during the 1950s as a pure Structural Engineering practice, this consultancy have grown through acquisition as well as organically and have developed a reputation as one of the largest and most successful UK engineering consultancies with 19 offices in the UK and 10 offices across Europe and the Far East.
As a senior member of staff, your responsibilities shall include, but shall not be limited to:
You will be involved in all stages of building engineering projects from strategy evaluation and concept development to detailed design and contract administration.
To apply for the position of a Senior / Principal Structural Engineer you must hold an accredited degree in structural engineering and should be ideally Chartered or working towards Chartership. You should have extensive experience of working within a Consultancy, working to British Standards.
You should be commercially aware, ambitious and ideally should have some experience of team management. Also contacts in the local marketplace would be advantageous.
