Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Principal or Technical Specialist to lead our Environmental Water Quality Team in the UK. You will drive technical excellence across water, energy and infrastructure sectors, mentoring junior staff and guiding high‑impact projects from inception to delivery.

You bring a decade of water industry experience, strong communication skills, and a track record of managing complex programmes while navigating UK environmental legislation.

Qualifications

Degree in a relevant field and at least ten years of experience in the water industry.
Familiar with UK environmental quality legislation and multi-disciplinary contexts.
Confident communicator with clients, regulators and colleagues.

Responsibilities

Lead and deliver complex, multi-disciplinary programmes in environmental water quality.
Mentor junior team members and collaborate with project managers for successful outcomes.
Identify pollution sources and develop sustainable, efficient solutions across water catchments.
