An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Principal Clinical Psychologist based at Ayrshire Central Hospital.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Principal Clinical Psychologist within our IPCU, eight-bed unit at Woodland View Hospital and within our Warrix Avenue Rehabilitation Facility, nine supported flats. Woodland View is an acute mental health and community facility at Ayrshire Central Hospital in Irvine. The facility has 13 wards which includes Low Secure and Forensic Rehabilitation, Acute Mental Health and Intensive Psychiatric Care. Woodland View provides state-of-the-art surroundings for patients, staff and service-users.
You will have the opportunity to work under the supervision and management of a Consultant Clinical Psychologist to provide comprehensive psychological assessments and interventions. You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering services to patients presenting with complex needs including severe and enduring mental illness, addictions, complex trauma and difficulties consistent with a diagnosis of personality disorder. In addition to direct clinical care this post will include teaching, training and supervision of multi-disciplinary staff.

We would welcome interest from qualified Clinical Psychologists who have relevant experience for this post. For example, those who have experience of working in settings and/or specialties where you have developed transferrable skills applicable to supporting adults presenting with complex psychological disorders.
The applicant must be HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist.

37 hours per week Monday-Friday 9am-5pm but variation in contracted hours may be considered.
A UK car licence/car ownership is essential to this role due to the need for travel from in-patient base at Woodland View Hospital to Warrix Avenue and for other ad-hoc meetings.
A relocation package may be available depending on eligibility.
